The Australian Clinical Trials Alliance (ACTA) offered a discount on registration and a chance to win registration fees back to anyone who registers for the ACTA International Clinical Trials Symposium on International Clinical Trials Day. The Andrew Love Cancer Centre had an information booth in the foyer. Clinical Trials staff were available to answer enquires from patients families and the general community. The Barwon Health Communications department ran a myth busters quiz via social media. This was a light hearted attempt to dispel common myths surrounding clinical trials and generally raise awareness to the value of clinical research. Further information Barwon Health (link is external).
Cancer Council Victoria, Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre and Barwon Health collaborated to celebrate International Clinical Trials Day. Peter Mac and Barwon hosted information tables to promote clinical research in their hospital foyers. Further information visit the Cancer Council Victora website .
