Intranasal Steroid as Medical Therapy For Sleep-Disordered Breathing in Children
Expand descriptionMIST+ is studying a nasal spray to see if it will reduce the need for surgery for snoring. Children aged 3-12 are invited to take part. Snoring affects up to 10% of children and can cause sleeping problems and concentration or behavioural issues in the daytime. Currently the most common treatment for snoring is surgery to remove the tonsils and/or adenoids, however many children wait a long time to see a specialist. This research is trying to find if nasal sprays can help children with snoring, and whether this can reduce the need for surgery.

Expand descriptionThe primary objective of this study is to compare the progression-free survival (PFS) between sacituzumab govitecan-hziy (SG) versus treatment of physician's choice (TPC) in participants with previously untreated, locally advanced, inoperable or metastatic triple-negative breast cancer whose tumors do not express programmed cell death ligand 1 (PD-L1) or in participants previously treated with anti-programmed cell death (ligand or protein) 1 (Anti-PD-(L)1) Agents in the early setting whose tumors do express PD-L1.

Pediatric Influence of Cooling Duration on Efficacy in Cardiac Arrest Patients (P-ICECAP)
Expand descriptionThis is a multicenter trial to establish the efficacy of cooling and the optimal duration of induced hypothermia for neuroprotection in pediatric comatose survivors of cardiac arrest. The study team hypothesizes that longer durations of cooling may improve either the proportion of children that attain a good neurobehavioral recovery or may result in better recovery among the proportion already categorized as having a good outcome.

Personal Therapy Comfort Settings Pilot Clinical Study
Expand description350 participants will be enrolled in this study. The target population are patients newly diagnosed with OSA and starting CPAP treatment. User accessible customizable comfort settings (Response setting, expiratory pressure relief (EPR) on/off and EPR level, and Ramp) will be set to either default (control group), or personalized for that participant (active treatment group). Usage will be recorded for the first 1 month of CPAP treatment, to determine if customizing comfort settings can improve CPAP compliance

Expand descriptionThe StimAire Model S is intended to treat Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA) by stimulating the hypoglossal nerve. The system includes a dedicated neurostimulator and a breathing sensor. The system is to be used in participants diagnosed with moderate to severe Obstructive Sleep Apnea. The Sponsor will be evaluating the change in Apnea-Hypopnea Index (AHI) when using the StimAire Model S system.

Human Epilepsy Project 3
Expand descriptionBy carrying a careful, large-scale and ambitious prospective study of a cohort of participants with generalized epilepsy, the study team hopes to clarify the likelihood of response and remission in this type of epilepsy, and try to explore the underlying biological drivers of treatment response, including novel realms of exploration such as impact of the microbiome, and genetics. The identification of biomarkers that predict the likelihood of disease response would allow epilepsy patients to make more informed decisions about the factors affecting their quality of life, including plans for driving, relationships, pregnancy, schooling, work, and play. In addition to its impact on clinical care, the data and specimens collected in HEP3, including sequential electrophysiology, biochemical profiles and neuroimaging and banked DNA for future genomics studies, have the potential to provide new insights into the biological basis of IGE, thereby advancing the discovery of effective treatments and cures. By enrolling both newly diagnosed subjects (prognosis unknown) as well as subjects with established IGE who are already determined to be treatment resistant or treatment responsive, the study team can immediately test potential biomarkers in a confirmation cohort, which will accelerate identification of predictive biomarkers.
