  • Perth Longitudinal Study of Aging in Women

    The aim of this 15-year follow-up study was to determine the influence of environmental, anatomical, metabolic, physiological and genetic determinants on health outcomes in older women. This was a follow-up study of 1500 women aged 70 years and over, recruited from the general population of Perth, Western Australia.

  • Tai Chi for stress and cardiovascular function

    This is a prospective, randomised controlled trial designed to investigate the effect of a standardised Tai Chi intervention on psychological stress and cardiovascular function in patients with coronary heart disease and/or hypertension. The primary outcome will be psychosocial status of stress measured by Perceived Stress Scale 10-item (PSS-10). The secondary outcomes will include psychosocial status of anxiety measured by Zung Self-Rating Anxiety Scale (SAS), and depression measured by Beck Depression Inventory-II (BDI-II), cardiovascular function including blood pressure, heart rate, heart rate variability (HRV), blood tests (lipid and glucose profiles and C-creative protein (CRP), quality of life measured by Seattle Angina Questionnaire (SAQ), and physical fitness using the 6-Minute Walk test. Approximately 126 participants with coronary heart disease and/or hypertension will be included in this trial to participate a 24-week Tai Chi intervention, comprising of a 12-week intensive intervention and 12-week sustained intervention. This study will be conducted in Sydney, Australia and Beijing, China.

  • A First-in-human Study of IBI343 in Subjects With Locally Advanced Unresectable or Metastatic Solid Tumors

    This is a Phase Ia/Ib, multicenter, open-label, first-in-human study to evaluate the safety, tolerability, PK, and efficacy of IBI343 in participants with locally advanced unresectable or metastatic solid tumors. It is planned to be carried out in different countries or regions such as China, Australia and US. There are three parts in phase Ia. Part 1 includes dose escalation and expansion phase and part 2 is designed for dose optimization for IBI343 monotherapy. Part 3 1L G/GEJ AC and 1L PDAC cohorts will include an initial safety lead-in stage to confirm the tolerability of IBI343 in combination with chemotherapy in 1L PDAC and G/GEJ AC, followed by a randomized dose-optimization stage designed to further characterize safety, pharmacokinetics, and preliminary efficacy to inform selection of the recommended Phase 3 dose.

  • A Study of Pembrolizumab (MK-3475) With or Without Lenvatinib (E7080/MK-7902) as First Line (1L) Intervention in a Programmed Cell Death-ligand 1 (PD-L1) Selected Population With Recurrent or Metastatic Head and Neck Squamous Cell Carcinoma (R/M HNSCC) (MK-7902-010) (KEYNOTE-010)

    This is a study of pembrolizumab (MK-3475) with or without lenvatinib (E7080/MK-7902) as a first line intervention in a PD-L1 selected population with participants with recurrent or metastatic head and neck squamous cell carcinoma. Hypotheses include: * Pembrolizumab + lenvatinib is superior to pembrolizumab + placebo with respect to Objective Response Rate (ORR) per Response Evaluation Criteria in Solid Tumors Version 1.1 (RECIST 1.1) by blinded independent central review (BICR). * Pembrolizumab + lenvatinib is superior to pembrolizumab + placebo with respect to Progression Free Survival (PFS) per RECIST 1.1 as assessed by BICR. * Pembrolizumab + lenvatinib is superior to pembrolizumab + placebo with respect to overall survival (OS).

  • Pembrolizumab (MK-3475) Plus Chemotherapy Versus Placebo Plus Chemotherapy in Participants Gastric or Gastroesophageal Junction (GEJ) Adenocarcinoma (MK-3475-859/KEYNOTE-859)

    The purpose of this study is to evaluate the efficacy of pembrolizumab (MK-3745) in combination with chemotherapy (Cisplatin combined with 5-Fluorouracil \[FP regimen\] or oxaliplatin combined with capecitabine \[CAPOX regimen\]) versus placebo in combination with chemotherapy (FP or CAPOX regimens) in the treatment of human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2) negative advanced gastric or GEJ adenocarcinoma in adult participants. The primary hypotheses of this study are that pembrolizumab plus chemotherapy is superior to placebo plus chemotherapy in terms of overall survival (OS). Once a participant has achieved the study objective or the study has ended, the participant will be discontinued from this study and enrolled in an extension study (Keynote 587; NCT03486873) to continue protocol-defined assessments and treatment.

    The primary objective of this study is to evaluate the non-inferiority of switching to a tenofovir alafenamide (TAF)-containing fixed dose combination (FDC) relative to maintaining tenofovir disoproxil fumarate (TDF)-containing combination regimens in virologically suppressed HIV-infected participants as determined by having HIV-1 RNA \< 50 copies/mL at Week 48.
