HFNC vs Two Nare HFNC in Extubated Patients
Expand descriptionHigh flow nasal cannula (HFNC) are introduced to clinical practice to improve oxygenation. Our group were the first to report the use of HFNC in extubated patients that showed comparable delivery of oxygen and improved comfort. These HFNC are subsequently shown to be useful in several clinical conditions in critically ill patients including respiratory failure due to hypoxia, hypercapnia (exacerbation of chronic obstructive lung disease), or post-extubation, pre-intubation oxygenation, and others. Recently a new mode of high flow oxygen therapy has been presented on the market where the prongs of high flow have two different diameters. These two-nare size high flow nasal cannula are capable of delivering gases at a flow rate of 15-50 L/min, similar to the conventional HFNP but the difference in the diameters provide different levels of positive pressure as compared to conventional HFNP. This positive pressure could help in gas exchange of patients who need more oxygen. These devices are approved by the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA); the medicine and therapeutic regulatory agency of the Australian Government. Our aim is to compare the two size nare high flow nasal cannula with conventional high flow nasal cannula in extubated patients in intensive care unit in a randomised crossover trial. The comparison will include arterial blood gasses, physiological data including heart rate, respiratory rate, saturations as well as comfort and tolerance of the patients to two size nare high flow nasal cannuale.

Expand descriptionThe purpose of the study is to evaluate the effect of ALN-APP on measures of CAA disease progression and to characterize the safety, tolerability, and pharmacodynamics (PD) of ALN-APP in adult patients with sporadic CAA (sCAA) and Dutch-type CAA (D-CAA). The study will be conducted over 2 periods: a 24-month double-blind treatment period and an optional 18-month open-label extension (OLE) period. The estimated duration of study participation, inclusive of screening, treatment, and additional safety follow-up, is up to 50 months.

VR for the Reduction of Perioperative Anxiety
Expand descriptionThe study, set to take place at Gold Coast University Hospital in Australia, will be conducted as a randomized controlled trial. Patients preparing for gynecological cancer surgery will be recruited and randomly assigned to one of two groups: those who will receive standard care plus a virtual reality (VR) intervention, and those who will receive only standard care. Standard care encompasses the usual pre-operative procedures and support provided by the hospital staff. We hypothesize that immersing patients in a preparatory virtual environment that shows them what they are to expect during their upcoming hospital stay for surgery, could help reduce their anxiety levels.

Sacituzumab Tirumotecan (MK-2870) Plus Pembrolizumab Versus TPC in TNBC Who Did Not Achieve pCR (MK-2870-012)
Expand descriptionThis is a randomized, open-label study comparing the efficacy and safety of adjuvant sacituzumab tirumotecan (MK-2870) in combination with pembrolizumab compared to treatment of physician's choice (TPC) in participants with triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) who received neoadjuvant therapy and did not achieve a pathological complete response (pCR) at surgery. The primary objective is to compare sacituzumab tirumotecan plus pembrolizumab to TPC (pembrolizumab or pembrolizumab plus capecitabine) with respect to invasive disease-free survival (iDFS) per investigator assessment. It is hypothesized that sacituzumab tirumotecan plus pembrolizumab is superior to TPC with respect to iDFS per investigator assessment.

A Study to Evaluate the Safety and Activity of SAR448501/DR-0201 in Patients With Relapsed/ Refractory B-Cell Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma
Expand descriptionThis is an open-label, multiple ascending dose (MAD), phase 1 study in adult patients with relapsed or refractory (R/R) B cell non-Hodgkin lymphoma (B-NHL). The purpose of the study is to identify possible optimal biological dosage(s) by assessing safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetics (PK), pharmacodynamics, clinical activity and immunogenicity of SAR448501/DR-0201. The study duration per participant will be approximately 3 years, including a screening period of up to 28 days, a treatment period of 52 weeks, a safety follow-up period of approximately 28 days and a long-term follow-up period of every 3 months until withdrawal of consent, participant death or study closure, whichever is sooner.

Expand descriptionStudy RAD-GRIN-201 is a phase 1B/2A trial to assess safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetics (PK), and potential efficacy of radiprodil in participants with Tuberous Sclerosis Complex (TSC) or Focal Cortical Dysplasia (FCD) type II. The study is open-label, so all participants will be treated with radiprodil. Subjects' participation in the study is expected to last up to six months in Part A and one year in Part B/long-term treatment period. The treatment period in Part B may be extended based on a favorable benefit/risk profile.
