Prostate Imaging Using MRI +/- Contrast Enhancement
Expand descriptionThis prospective clinical trial (PRostate Imaging using Mri +/- contrast Enhancement (PRIME)) aims to assess whether biparametric MRI (bpMRI) is non-inferior to multiparametric mpMRI (mpMRI) in the detection of clinically significant prostate cancer. This means that we are comparing MRI scans that requires injection of IV contrast (the current standard practice) versus MRI scans that can be performed without IV contrast in the detection of prostate cancer.

Australasian Resuscitation In Sepsis Evaluation: FLUid or Vasopressors In Emergency Department Sepsis
Expand descriptionThis multicentre, randomised controlled trial will enrol 1000 patients presenting with septic shock to the emergency department (ED) of participating hospitals in Australia and New Zealand. Participants will receive haemodynamic resuscitation with either a restricted fluids and early vasopressor regimen or a larger initial IV fluid volume with later introduction of vasopressors if required. Clinical care including the type of resuscitation fluid and vasopressor agent, will otherwise be in accordance with accepted standard care and according to clinician discretion. The study intervention will be delivered for at least 6 hours and up to 24 hours post-randomisation. Participants will be followed for up to 12 months and outcomes analysed on an intention-to-treat basis.

A Study to Test Different Doses of BI 1358894 and Find Out Whether They Reduce Symptoms in People With Borderline Personality Disorder
Expand descriptionThis study is open to adults with borderline personality disorder. The purpose of this study is to find out whether a medicine called BI 1358894 helps to reduce symptoms in people with borderline personality disorder. Four different doses of BI 1358894 are tested in the study. Participants are put into 5 groups by chance. Participants in 4 of the 5 groups take different doses of BI 1358894. Participants in the fifth group take placebo. Participants take BI 1358894 and placebo as tablets once a day. Placebo tablets look like BI 1358894 tablets but do not contain any medicine. Participants are in the study for about 5 months. During this time, they visit the study site about 12 times and get about 6 phone calls. At the visits, doctors ask participants about their symptoms. The results between the BI 1358894 groups and the placebo group are then compared. The doctors also regularly check the general health of the participants.
