A Study to Evaluate Neoadjuvant Sonidegib Followed by Surgery or Imiquimod in the Management of Basal Cell Carcinoma
Expand descriptionIn this study, patients with BCC will be given neoadjuvant treatment with a drug called sonidegib. Sonidegib is a daily tablet usually given for BCC that cannot be removed by surgery or that has spread through the body. The study aims to see if sonidegib given for 12 weeks will reduce the size of tumours so surgery results in less scarring or may be avoided, with only short term topical treatment required to treat remaining tumour.

Expand descriptionThis partially randomized phase II/III trial studies how well, in combination with surgery, cisplatin and combination chemotherapy works in treating children and young adults with hepatoblastoma or hepatocellular carcinoma. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as cisplatin, doxorubicin, fluorouracil, vincristine sulfate, carboplatin, etoposide, irinotecan, sorafenib, gemcitabine and oxaliplatin, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells, by stopping them from dividing, or by stopping them from spreading. Giving combination chemotherapy may kill more tumor cells than one type of chemotherapy alone.

A Study of the Response to AG-86893 in Patients With Pterygium Hyperemia
Expand descriptionA pterygium is a wing-shaped, benign tissue growth which forms on the surface of the conjunctiva and grows towards the cornea. It can eventually lead to vision impairment. The precise cause of pterygium formation is unknown but new blood vessel growth and fibroblastic structures are characteristics of the disease. AG-86893 is an eye drop being developed to treat hyperemia (redness) and growth of the pterygium. Hypothesis 1. AG-86893 dosed three times daily for 28 consecutive days has an acceptable safety profile as measured by the incidence and severity of adverse events (AEs) compared with vehicle 2. At least 1 concentration of AG-86893 is effective, as measured by the mean change from baseline in conjunctival hyperemia (redness), compared with vehicle
