Study to Investigate the Safety, Tolerability, and Pharmacokinetics of GB-7624 in Healthy Adult Participants
Expand descriptionThis is a randomised, double-blinded, placebo-controlled first in human (FIH) trial to evaluate the safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetic (PK), pharmacodynamic (PD), and immunogenicity of GB-7624. The trial will have two parts: a SAD component and a MAD component. Part A (SAD): a total of 24 healthy volunteers are planned to be enrolled across 3 SAD cohorts and will involve the administration of a single subcutaneous (SC) dose of GB-7624 (300 mg, 600 mg, or 1200 mg) or placebo on Day 1 in cohorts A1, A2, and A3. Part B (MAD): a total of 16 healthy volunteers are planned to be enrolled across 2 MAD cohorts and will involve the administration of multiple SC doses of GB-7624 (300 mg on Day 1 and Day 15 or 600 mg on Day1 and Day 15) or placebo in cohorts B1 and B2. The decision to escalate between dose levels in the SAD (Part A) and the MAD (Part B) as well as the decision to proceed from Part A to Part B will be based on safety review committee (SRC) review of prior cohorts, blinded available safety, tolerability and PK data. Study drug will be administered at the study site by trained study site personnel to ensure compliance. The administration of all trial intervention will be recorded in eCRF. Compliance will be assured by direct supervision and witnessing of trial intervention administration.

Expand descriptionThe present First-In-Human (FIH) study (JUV-161-101) aims to assess the safety, tolerability, and pharmacokinetics (PK) of single and multiple subcutaneous (SC) doses of JUV-161 in healthy volunteers. The study design is well-established for FIH studies and appropriate to assess the preliminary safety and tolerability of new drug candidates. Data from this study will support conduct studies in patients with DM1 as well as supporting studies in other degenerative myopathies and other disorders for which preclinical efficacy data have been obtained.JUV-161 has not been previously been administered to human subjects.

HEALTH Trial - Healthy Adult Evaluation of Ivermectin Bioequivalence: Infant Versus Standard Formulation
Expand descriptionThis is a clinical trial to compare two formulations of the drug ivermectin: the standard 3mg tablet formulation versus a newly developed infant formula preparation. The goal of the trial is to determine if the new formulation functions in the same way, tastes the same and causes no new side effects. The trial will involve 52 participants who will be healthy adult volunteers. The participants will receive both formulations - the order they receive each formulation will be assigned randomly (similar to the toss of a coin).

A Study to Assess the Safety and Effects of the Investigational Drug BW-40202 in Healthy Volunteers
Expand descriptionThis study will test the safety of a new drug called BW-40202 in healthy adults. The drug is a clear liquid given as an injection under the skin (subcutaneous injection). The study will test five different doses of BW-40202 compared to a placebo (saltwater solution). Participants will be divided into five groups, with each group receiving a different dose of BW-40202 or placebo. In each group, eight people will be randomly assigned to receive either the drug (6 people) or placebo (2 people). The Safety Review Committee will review the safety data before increasing the dose for the next group. Study nurses or trained staff will give the injections. Pharmacy staff will keep records of how much drug each participant receives, any returned or destroyed doses, and any changes from the planned dosing schedule. These records will be securely stored and available for review.

A Study to Investigate the Treatment Effect of Subcutaneous Injections of Pentosan Polysulfate Sodium Compared With Placebo in Adult Participants With Knee Osteoarthritis Pain.
Expand descriptionThe purpose of this study is to measure the change in pain and function with subcutaneous injections of pentosan polysulfate sodium (PPS) compared with subcutaneous injections of placebo in participants with knee OA pain. Study details include: * The study duration will be up to 64 weeks. * The treatment duration will be 6 weeks. * The visit frequency will be twice weekly during treatment. * The visit/contact frequency will be every 4-6 weeks during the 52-week Follow-up period. * Approximately 466 participants will be enrolled into this study.
