  • Insulin and Abatacept in Recently-diagnosed Type 1 Diabetes

    The goal of this clinical trial is to test whether the combination of two safe immune therapies called abatacept and nasal insulin can preserve pancreas function in recently-diagnosed type 1 diabetes. When type 1 diabetes is first diagnosed, the pancreas is still able to make small amounts of insulin, which helps control glucose levels. Preserving pancreas function can make glucose control easier and reduce the need to use injected insulin. Participants will be asked to inject abatacept under their skin once per week and inhale nasal insulin or nasal placebo using a spray for 10 consecutive days initially and twice per week thereafter. The treatment period is for 48 weeks, with another 48-week follow-up period.

    The goal of this clinical trial is to compare a chlorhexidine impregnated dressing for peripheral intravenous catheters (PIVCs) to the standard dressing currently used in general medical and surgical inpatient wards. The main questions it aims to answer are: * Study Feasibility * Occurrence of infectious complications related to the PIVC Participants will be randomly allocated to receive either of the below dressings to cover and secure their PIVC: * The standard dressing used at their hospital, or * The intervention dressing which has Chlorhexidine gluconate (CHG) on it Researchers will compare standard and CHG dressings to see if the presence of CHG improves the occurrence of infectious complications related to the PIVC.

Study participants will be recruited to complete a 15-minute self-administered online survey.

    The main purpose of this study is to assess the long-term safety and efficacy of lebrikizumab in participants 6 Months to \<18 years of age with moderate-to-severe atopic dermatitis. This study will last about 68 weeks and may include up to 16 planned visits. If participating in the optional extension as well, the study will last approximately 1 additional year for a total of up to 116 weeks and may include up to 29 scheduled visits.
